Gratitude 4: I am a stay-at-home mum

I rejected the HR director's proposal. I stopped my certification course and postponed it to much later. I am unable to take up tuition assignments. I didn't attend an interview.

All because I have decided to be a stay-at-home mom until my baby is 1 year old at least. It could be longer if my hubby has no objections because it would mean that I don't have any income from my end.

I really hope to take care of baby myself. I often have to close both eyes when she is in the hands of others. Sigh. Might as well I'll do it my way because she's my baby.

My poor gal can't sleep well and can wake up as many as 7 times in the night. Even if I am working, how am I going to survive at work.

Anyway I've figured a way to resolve her sleeping habits. I read an article titled 'If your baby can't sleep well, it is your fault'. Yup it is my fault - listening to other people, letting other people take control. It's really my fault. So now, I am back to fix the problem.

The good thing is she managed to sleep through 11 hours last night and woke up just once. Phew. Thank God. I paid US$97 for this lesson. If you are keen to know, drop me a mail and I'll share a tip or two.

I've also learnt how to cook now. Hubby asked how come recently my time is spent chopping stuff in the kitchen. Well, it's for my 7 months old gal. Yup time flies isn't it. I miss the moments when she was an infant.

It's not easy at all being a SAHM. It's said to be the hardest job in the world.  I still have lots to learn and catch up and I think I'm doing a good job so far.

Will reduce blogging at this site since most of my stuff evolves around baby. Check out my other blog if you are interested in baby stuff.

  1. I applaud your choice! It's also one of my "ambition" to be a stay-home mum till my future child is about 1 or 2 years old.
