My left wrist is hurting me badly. I don't even have to exert any strength and it hurts. I've seen sinseh twice. Now I need to get a wrist support. I should be thankful that I still can carry my baby.
One of the August mommies, Dowin is in heartwrenching pain. Her baby Hazel who is the same age as my baby is in ICU right now. Police and social workers are investigating the case as they are not sure what caused such damage to the baby, suspecting shaken baby syndrome by the nanny. Doctors are putting tubes through her little body to release the fluid and pressure in her brain, giving her medication to stop the seizures, fever, bleeding from the eyes. Now, we hope that her red blood cells count will increase.
I can't help but to drop a tear reading such updates. Each time I pump my milk, I keep wondering whether Hazel is better.
Together with some of the other mommies, we'll be fasting lunch and praying for baby Hazel and her family. We pray that God will send His guardian angels to surround them with comfort. We proclaim that by Jesus's stripes, baby Hazel is healed. All of the mommies are from different religion and they are all praying to their respective gods for help. Some are free-thinkers and they are also joining in. Really thank God for this group.
God, please give extra strength to Dowin. Please let baby go back home with Mommy Dowin soon. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
If you are keen to join in the prayer, on 21 Nov, between 12 noon to 1 pm (any timing), just close your eyes for a minute and say a simple prayer for baby Hazel.
